I took a spin on the Uly on Saturday - first great day in ages - to go pick up a set of CB650 clocks for my brat build.

Open the bike up a bit and cruised at about 200km/h.

A few mins later (and on a main rd) I pulled away to screeching tires and then back wheel wobbles. First thought was wheel bearings! Pulled into the first gas station and to my surprise/horror saw that one of the 90 degree valve extensions I installed had broken off!

I am just totally thankful it didn't happen at high speed!

I have one of those but would never leave it on while riding. Glad you did not have an accident.

Thats why you don't put those on. Think about how heavy that is compared to a regular stem. Then add the forces of spinning at high RPMs. Don't use those. Glad your ok!

Its fine to use just keep it under the seat not on the wheel. You shouldn't need to add air that often anyways

wow those are awesome! (not being sarcastic btw) airing up tires always takes me forever because the stupid pump always gets stuck on the valve and ends up dumping air almost as quickly as i can get it in... [mad]

glad to see you're ok and definitely going learn from that whenever i can get a hold of a set [up]
