couldn't play with this toy, so...

didn't play with my favorite toy today

played with the other two

then this happened, broken main rotor blades, bent main and feathering shafts, shred both damper bushings for feathering shaft, stripped cyclic servo

then this, bent fly bar and broken main rotor blade grip control linkage

so after making some repairs with the parts I did have one hand, got bored and cleaned up the Mancave, moved my sons' work bench into the cave also

those are pretty awesome.i always wanted one just never got around to buying one.

37 bucks at xheli.com for the airframe kit, servos, ESC, motor, gyro, transmitter with receiver combo all about 70 bucks...it's an Align Trex 450 clone, but they fly just as well for a fraction of the cost, spare parts are cheap too

I had a raptor 50 a while back. My dad flies r/c airplanes and that's how I got started. It's so damned expensive...I like you're cheaper route though, I may have to look into that.
