now if i ever get a living room big enough, i really want a buell blast coffee table. that is one of the jokes that we have at work because one of my co workers has a blast, i have a xb12s, and my boss has teh 1125cr.

I paid just a little more than that for my XB. It didn't look like this but it ran. Blasts in NorCal can be had for $1600-$2000.

I've been looking for a blast for my better half. I might do a little inquery on this one!

I wouldn't pay more than $1500 for a Blast. Even one as modified as mine or EZ's, I couldn't justify more than $2500.

Actually its insured for 3500.00 - till rebuild, then it will be more - my Blast is special - lol:p:D[cool]

Personally i don't think a free Blast would be a good find.
Really? That would be like saying finding $1000 is not a good find. Next time you run across a free Blast send it my way.

Finding a grand would be sweet, trying to get someone to give you a grand for a Blast might be a bit more of a task of epic proportions. If i ever find find one i'll send it your way.

You might live in a place where a free blast is not worth anything, but I could sell it. I recently got two 1980's dirt bikes and a trailer for free, freed up the carbs and sold the bikes for $2600 and the trailer for $600. A Blast with 6500 miles to me would get $1500 to $1800 all day long.

But you're just thinking a Blast is a piece of shit that has no place in the motorcycle Universe... Cool, that's your right.

Oh snap, i've been told, now i'm gonna go stand in the corner... No,not really. I'm done with this though, i have a feeling it's just gonna keep going.

So far I have got two fixers for 500 bucks, and one beater for 1500, the beater is the one I ride most of the time. One fixer to be easily fixed, then fixed up for my brother, lol - the other parted out - some to Swampy, some to Terry Parsley for his continual salt efforts. A 2000 Blast has pluses and minuses - research carefully the bike and its treatment, know that you will have gaskets to replace later, and maybe even an ignition. Know also that the 2000 Blast was also the fastest Blast due to slightly different gearing, and also the better handling Blast due to the extra heim joint behind the horn up front.

Account $150 for new tires (Pirelli Diablo). Those Dunflops aren't worth the air in them.

Looks like it's been leaking oil (or something) onto the exhaust header. Also, I see some silver in there below the head, maybe a new head gasket?

If the rockerbox gasket and head gasket are a non-issue, I'd say decent price for the given low mileage.
