CRASHED MY BIKE

so i went for a ride sunday and after the ride i was just cruising home....well im in the exit lane to merge on a different highway and some ass hole going way to fast cuts across 2 lanes and cuts me off and then slams his brakes on infront of me.... i automatically hit the brakes and go up on the front i put it back down then hit the brakes again same thing happened then i saw i was about to hit the car and decided to dump the bike to the side and i went over the bars hit the car and then the mother fucker takes off... the bike isnt totaled but it is being redone as we speak at the HD stealershipi just want my baby back

just some road rash on the knees no broken bones and the bike still ran if i had a shifter knob i could have ridden it home.... the other bikers saw me worrying about my bike as i was laying on the ground but its thankfully minor damage

Btw, not sure where you're located, but in the Dallas/Ft. worth area metroplex, you can't drive on a highway without being seen on cameras. They use it for 'traffic' watch. Hopefully the asshole is on camera somewhere.

yeah they got him because i was on a toll road so they are getting him for fleeing the scene of an accident and obstruction of justice i think the trooper said i think he said they couldnt get him for a hit and run which i didnt understand why not

Im an insurance adjuster so take this with a grain of salt.

It is not a hit and run because he did not hit you. You rear ended him if I understand correctly. Thye should be able to get him for fleeing the scene and obstruction. Thats all he did wrong.

It sucks that he is a dumb ass and he should have his ass kicked but laws are laws


Hope you are okay and your bike will be as good as new when you get it back.

It sucks because the guy stopped in front of you but the sad fact is that by most state laws if you hit the person in front of you even if they slam on the brakes you are in the wrong,it has happened to me a few times as well,at least he will get charged with something,glad you're okay,bikes can be fixed easier than we can.

What area are you in? I have heard that in the larger Texas cities, most people don't have insurance and bumoin and grindin as well as hit and runs are all too common. I am not from there, but again, it is what I have heard. Your insurance paying for it?

I feel your pain ... I had someone with very dim brake lights come to a complete stop very quickly in front of me in a 55mph zone. I went up on the front wheel also as I kept grabbing brake as the van kept getting closer ... I hit the Van with my helmet, right shoulder and the bikes handlebars, flyscreen, windshield, and front tire just as I was stopping. In hindsight I think I could have swerved around into a different lane, but I didn't have time to look first.

I was at fault, but I didn't get ticketed, and they towed the ladies van because she didn't have insurance

But yeah I understand that he won't get charged for a hit and run... Just sucks that he swerved into my lane and im liable just doesn't make sense
