Ok, i just figured out an issue i have been working on for a wile now. I turn on the key, i have power, then i turn the handle bars to the right and all power goes dead! With the key still on, i turn the handle bars to the left and the power comes back on, so i do it again, and again, and again, and again, just to make sure im not seeing things. So ok I must have a short so i follow it back up to that little area where the wires go through that spaceship shaped hole and into the back of the ignition switch. So now with the key on if i just barley touch that wire it will die. Now what do I do???? Do I have to replace the whole ignition switch or can you open them up? What is the best way to get to it??? Take out the 4 bolts from the fairing and let it kinda hang out of the way????? I did look it over and i did do my bast analysis but i still want all of your expertise just encase i'm doing it the long way or the hard way.?? Can i rebuild mine? Or are they sealed? Any info will help before i start tearing it apart.
