Hey guys,

For those of you out there with custom tunes. Can anyone tell me how they remapped the stock ECM? I have called a couple Harley Dealers near me and none of them know how to do it and I am in the middle of selling my race ecm and race pipe to upgrade to a custom tune and Jardine pipe but I can't find a place to do a custom tune.

Thanks but unfortunately that won't help me as they are 1800 miles away from me.

I found a dealer that uses Directlink and I am waiting for them to call me back because I think they can do it with that.

That place in FL does sound great and I would bring my bike there if I lived down south.

they need to drill in your front header to fit a sensor and build on the stock map.

cause the front needs different mapping as the rear...so yes, you need a sensor in each header.

Well that sucks as it will be ugly as sin having a 02 sensor sticking out the front header. I guess I will just stick with the race ecm and the race pipe.

You should have to for the perfect tuning but there i s no need to ride around with it in after that. take out the FRONT O2 and put in a plug. Or tune off the back and then just modify the front a litttle (they talk about it on the ECMSpy web sit.

as chicky said, once tuned there is no need to keep the sensor in there.

if someone can find that link posted with the guys who repaired those headers [confused]

drill a hole, weld a piece of metal to it, tap thread, fit the sensor, tune the bike, remove the now threaded piece of metal and repair the headers.

or...
find some used headers with some minor damage and do the sensor mod on that.

No big deal. I will just keep it as it. It isn't worth that much to me to go through all that just to get it tuned.
