However you measure the impact of motorcycles vs cages, whether in terms of weight, space, fuel-consumption, carbon-emissions, wear-&-tear, congestion, collision-costs, or anything else, motorcyclists in N America pay a grossly disproportionate amount for fees, licensing, insurance, parking, and taxes compared to cagers. We are also often discriminated against by law-makers, police, courts, and the general public.

This Cycle World piece explores some of the issues in implementing a mileage tax on motorcycles, specifically in the state of Oregon where they’ve actually chosen to exempt bikes, for now.

Just something to hopefully piss you off a little. :)
