So today I was exiting a parking lot and there was a long line of cars. I was about to pull away from all of them as the car in front of me appeared to be turning. I then panic and slam on my brakes too hard causing the bike to do a stoppie. I couldn't hold it up when it came back down and it tipped. I'm left with a broken clutch lever, peg, mirror, and blinker. The guy didn't even have the decency to stop for me. So tomorrow it's off to the HD dealer to spend a whole ton on parts.

I am not sure exactly what happened to you, but I am so sorry.
Many years ago, when I was even still young & beautiful :) I dropped my Honda 650 Nighthawk on way to work while trying to get thru the yellow light but the road was WAY off camber. Nobody caused my damage like for you. But a ton of cars saw me crash & passed on. I could not lift the bike by myself. Lucky for me, a guy in a little p/u stopped, said that he rode a bike himself & understood, lifted it for me, checked it out & I was able to get it home with damage like you are saying.

Part of me thinks car drivers don't stop because they don't know what to do for a motorcycle. I am grateful not to have been hurt except aching for a day & I hope the same for you.

BTW, I was able to fix the bike with all cheap used parts, due to interchangeability between Honda models in those years. So, at least be sure to check out eBay for used parts before giving full $$ to the HD dealer.

My sympathy/thoughts to you!

You can order all those things on ebay so much cheaper like crystal said. I just droped mine for the first and my peg snaped, plus my shifter bent. i have a waisted back so i could not lift it myself with out doing more damage to myself. luckely i was right by my house, so i was able to get help to get it up right so I could get it into my garage. I went on ebay found the parts pretty cheap and got them in a few days and put them on. All very simple. Saved a ton of money compaired to the dealership.

Good luck and just remember your not the only person to have droped their bike.

anrkizm95 , what a cool dude , I hope yall live close to one another . Buell riders are a different breed , by different I mean better .

I have bar end mirrors on my bike. I'm not too upset about them other then I just bought them, but I only paid $18 bucks. It was the front left blinker thats smashed to bits however. I'm located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. I'd like to thank all you guys dondick your right Buell riders are the best.

Yep its true.People behind the wheel are 50% braindead. How about those on the cell phone that have no idea whats going on around them!!!

Wow, I am not the only one. Ive had my bike about 3 weeks, last week i was leaving my parking lot outside of my apt, turning right outta the parking lot there was a car coming the other direction. Turns out it was a couple of 16 year old idiots that thought it would be funny to swerve at me and beep the horn. Wow, I got so startled that I hit the brakes hard and ended up tipping over. I held the bike up as long as i could, but luckily when the bike fell my foot ended up between the frame puck and the ground. Crushed my foot but nothing else hit!
Luckily my gf was there and she helped me pick the bike up without anything touching the ground. But boy was that embarrassing.
Needless to say I jumped on the bike and chased the car down, Those kids wont be messing with ppl like that anymore, I scared them pretty good.

People are so stupid, ive had ppl throw things out their windows at me, and all sorts of things.

Glad to hear you didnt get banged up.
I bet this happens to alot of ppl

That would be awesome to get the blinker anrkizm. The mirros I'm not so worried about I'll just buy a new set and then have a spare one. Mow I know exactly what your talking about. The best I think is when the lady on the cell phone thought it would be a good idea to come into my lane. I kicked her door and left a dent when yelling didn't work.
