it is time for a new tire.

Should try to lean it over to even out the wear.

btw people: note the wear bar indicator on these tires indicates zip all left.

Why do the edges look brand new? Would you like some sweet and sour sause? Sorry, I know not everyone is blessed with California roads.

the tire looks new on the edges but not in the center. do you ride in a straight line or on the freeway all the time? on my tires the edges are almost as close at the center but i try and get a good balance between center and the edges.
i like to kill the chicken stripes :)

lol...i bought it from another member here this spring. you should have seen the middle of the tire when i bought it! i dont think he ever leaned it over! but he was a good guy and if he chose to ride it like that, who am i to complain about it? that is part of why i bought it, i know that he babied it from day one.
believe me, i wore the edges down alot more than they were. the reality of it is, i shoulda put a new tire on it when i bought it, but i was trying to use up the remaining life of the tire. i am a little nervous about riding it now, but i am taking it out today about 80 miles, and then thursday i have to ride it down to get a new tire put on.

ive been doing the same thing! i have a brand new pireli diablo supercorsa rac compound sittin in the garage to replace the muchelin power one race on my bike, i ride 62 miles one way to work everyday with it, everyday i get home and look at the tire to see if i have cords showing but its been about 3 weeks and still going strong! i cant believe i havent hit cords yet...

most of my driving is freeway onthe way to work so i dont have to get up as early, but on the way home its all twisties that adds about 20 minutes to my drive time so the tire gets a pretty good balance...

a better view of the side of the tire. when i bought the bike, the only wear on it was the flat spot you can see now. i should have taken pictures of it for reference. anywho........

Well at least you have a 1" chicken stripe. Dude I work with is showing cords on his triumph speed triple and has 4 fingers of chicken stripe on either side...

I would not go for a ride with it like that.

My experience is that the wear is increasingly faster at this point.

But, if you want to be the guinea pig, post pics after each long ride.

rep point to lamarchangel for being a decent guy and looking out for others.

i wont be doing any burnouts...i dont do that stuff. i am however going to put another 100 miles on it. wish me luck....

western wisconsin...there are some great roads here, perfect for a buell. the problem is, the rednecks spray gravel all over the road so a guy doesnt dare get too brave.
i've been riding all my adult life, and i am closing in on 40. and i will be the first to admit that i ride a bit conservative compared to some of you guys. and i am just fine with that. ;)

another 70 miles on it today....i wont be riding anymore until it is time to take it to the shop to get it replaced...the cords are now showing

I had mine down to where there was a clear line of metal showing all the way around, I put it out of it's misery by doing a massive burnout and smoking out my neighbors. then I got yelled at for the massive black spot on my sidewalk :D
