Dan Moto Exhaust

This comes up all the time when people hear about dan moto exhaust. You will get lots of mixed reviews, most of the negatives are from people who have not had the exhaust and only see the price and that it's made in china. I had one on my R1 and it was a great exhaust. Lasted thousands of miles and sounded great. Fit right up as it was supposed to and was very light. Oh and they actually emailed me back (in broken english) when I had questions. Now, I'm not a fan of their design for the Buell though. Looks like it hangs low and they don't have a real "y" split for the two canisters, but I dont have first hand experience with it on a Buell, so not sure how much my opinion matters.

I don't have experience with their Buell product but I have a friend with a set on his Ducati Monster. I didn't want to like them for the reasons stated in the above post but I have to admit, they sound great and they've held up to his abuse. Another friend has them on his R6 and it sounds good and looks good on there. So far I've got nothing bad to say about them.

Here's a link to the previous discussion. I posted some pictures of them in this thread: http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Lightning-XB12S-XB12Ss-CityX-XB12Scg/Dan-Moto-Exhaust

The carbon looking ones fade and the quality just isnt that good....ive never seen one for the buell but im not thinking they would hold up well to the vibrations

Thanks for the input guys. I really trust anrkizm95 as I've followed his posts for a bit & he cut my tail section for me as well. I'm leaning toward the D&D, just saw thus & wanted to get some feedback on it

Not sure what your budget is but we're selling the Torque Hammer system at a new lower price of $600 (was $795) shipped in the Lower 48 states and including a free tuning map (2003-2007 only). Please have a look at this link and let us know if you are interested. Good luck!

I've come across a few danmotos, it really has to do with your budget. The Dan moto is close to a junk dean without a chin faring mount, and sounds close to the same. The big down fall of the danmoto is the lower case "H" design, but when the pipe starts to loss it's packing, you switch the two pipes.
oh and also the springs suck ass.

Now my honest option is to only buy a buell exhaust that is welded together not riveted or banded together. This is because the vtwins exhaust just takes a beating, and on the buell especially since its under the bike and exhaust leaks suck.

The d&d is your best bet for all around plug, play and forget about it. It also sounds the best in my option, more like a harley and what I run on my bikes.

the dan moto is horrendous, the design of the merge is very poor and anything rivetted together on a buell is gonna shake itself to bits
