Has anyone used one of these? Do they produce more power? How noisy are they? How well made & durable?
Thanks!

haha I started that thread, and yes the general consensus from everyone that has never had a Dan Moto is that they are **** because of the price. But I have to say I had one on my R1 for 2-years; 10,000 miles and it was honestly great, held up fine and you will see that all the people that bought them thought they were pretty decent, just saying. I can't say I noticed any power gains over the previous exhaust, but it sounded good, pretty loud.

I had two of them, one on a gsxr 600 and one on my zx10r. Both were well-crafted, fit perfectly, and held up as good as anything else I've had. The carbon is high quality but as with any other needs to be waxed to prevent yellowing. Picked up a little top-end like any other slip-on, compared to stock, without any noticeable loss on the low side. The sound is exactly like the LOR if you've heard one. On an inline 4 it's a wicked growl that is not crazy at neighborhood speeds. Never seen or heard one on a v-twin, but I would imagine it's pretty nice. Also Dan is a great guy who answers emails and fixes problems quickly. Shipping for both of mine took about 10 days to my door.

Well there you have it from people who've owned them. Sounds worth a try. Looks wise a modded stock pipe is more aesthetic but weight wise it seems pretty lite.

Hey guys, many thanks for the replies and opinions. I agree the modded stock pipe looks better, the light weight is a plus with the DanMoto, but I am leaning towards a Spec Ops pipe at this time, seems like the best compromise of looks, power and sound

my buddy has the dan moto pipes on his z1k. they're chinese right? fitment was a pain in the butt. on his bike they look good. no so much on the buell. They sound great. They seem to have very little backpresure though. I wouldn't run them too long on an xb without a tune.cant beat the price.

I have them on a bolt. best bang for the buck and SUPER LOUD.

****** hardware comes with it so i had a custom bracket built. buy the time you add it a ll up it was over 600 bucks..

the collector pipe is stupid, but if you can fashion a bracket to put your chin fairing in place you can hide it.. i used a bracket that rides the chin fairing low down. look pretty cool and hides the lame dan moto collector.

as for looks, having two massive cans on either side has a very classic hot rod look to it. goes well with an American bike.

sorry no pics of th custom bracket as that bike is under teardown right now. the stock hardware actually broke while riding, btw.
