Hey blackandchrome lets see some pics. How did you address the fact that the holes are diff from one side to the other.

The only frame sliders I've seen for our bikes requires you to hack up the scoop(s). I'm going to go with the Buell frame pucks.

brightbuell: What do you mean? The sliders sit on the outside of the axle and basically sandwich it.

I finally got to take some pictures this weekend.

I was looking at the DHM econo kit but figured shipping would be killer for something I could pick up for $5 at home depot. Plus I was able to do the front and rear for what it would cost to do one.

My thoughts on this setup:
- 1/4" may be too thin. I hope I don't ever have to use them, but we'll see if it holds up. My roommate did the same setup w/ 3/8" rod and was in an accident. The back held up great. The front rod did bend but it seemed to do it's job.
- I'd rather use 3/8" but I'm afraid I'd never be able to get them off. The nut was a lot harder to put in my friends setup so he didn't have to worry. I'd be worried about them stripping inside of the slider when I need to remove them, then I'd be F'ed because of the stainless hardware or I'd have to cut a nice looking slider.

They be out of business now. Was going to order some tonight and there website no longer works and says no longer taking orders. not looking good.

damn i was going to get some too. I hope they are just redoing their website. they say they will be back but who knows.

They are just shutdown for a short time. I heard they are taking a break, business has been booming for them. Should be back up in a week or two.

Hope so. I have been back and forth on ordering. Keeping up can be tough for small shops.

I finally got to finishing up my sliders! Here's some pics:

I used a 1/4-28 set screw with a brass tip on it so it doesn't booger up the all-thread

Let's hope I don't have to use them...:D

Thanks guys! If it were my CNC, I would definitely consider it. They were pretty straight forward to make. [cool]

Thanks Andrew! I have some left if you're interested. PM me if so...

I'm good man but thanks for the offer I'm building a website to sell some parts I will be making i.e. License plate relocator brackets, Billet Bar Ends, Turn signals, Mirror block off plates and axle sliders are a few of the parts. I used to work at a machine shop and I talked to my old boss who I'm still good friends with and he's gona writeup a program to make some of these parts for me. I'm just lookin to help every bueller out. This in hopes of creating a website that will make everything easier to find and hopefully I can develope some cost effective parts that are of good quality. The quality I don't see bein a problem. I don't know how many times I have walked into a custom bike builder or shop that works on bikes tryin to get parts for a buell and they have no idea or they just look in the books they have and find nothing. I'm tired of having to pay top dollar for namebrand parts as well, and just because theres only a handfull of places that actually make quality parts.
