I'm working on that video. I've never done it myself so I need to get some instructions, tips, and do it before I teach it.

Bump. The more you guys watch the videos, the more you'll see made. Views help it spread and make them worthwhile. Also, if you guys have a youtube account, "like" the video and subscribe to Jeremys channel.

So even if you've seen them all already, watch your favorite just for fun.

Bonus: As a little game for you guys, in one of the videos there is a hand that's obviously not mine. Someone should have caught it by now because it's hilarious. My friends and I were laughing hysterically when we shot it. Go find it!

it tried the tin foil trick and I think I made a bigger mess using it than not because the wind kept blowing it off and making a mess.[mad] Still good in theory though. just not out side on a windy day.[up]

Thanks for the videos dave. I just an XB9R (my first bike) and I changed the oil, wish had found this forum first. However, I am changing the plugs this weekend, and the guy at the Harley dealership said I would have to drop the engine. Guess that's not true. Thanks again.

P.S. Got a video for changing the front fork fluid?

Those Harley guys really know their stuff huh? I'll add fork oil to the list ocroft. I need to do that too.

great vids dave . They are fantastic and really well created. I just want to let others know that please be gentle with the oil drain plugs. My bike is sitting idle in the garage awaiting a timesert kit for the swingarm. Many know the torque spec is wrong but i gather my dealership went by the book.On my first oil change the Threads pulled upon removal of my drain plug. Be gentle !!

For safety issues, it really needs to be noted that if the gsxr levers are not done correctly, it can lead to locking up of the front wheel and potential fatality. This is a serious hazard and has been documented to cause a number of crashes at this point.

If you haven't already, check out these awesome videos by Dave. Please comment and like the videos you find helpful on YouTube.

Excellent thread!

Any plans on doing one for fork oil change?

EDIT: Sorry Dave, didn't read the whole thread! I see you've got plans for the fork oil.

First off thanks so much for the great videos. I Plan on changing my oil and plugs using these as guides. Secondly I have an 07 xb12r and just installed a jardine rt-1 and servo emmulator. I used the ecmspy/race map video here and reloaded my eprom w/ racemap. It seemed to work well. I then moved onto the TPS reset video and checked my idle rpm which was low so I figured I run through the TPS reset. Well I tried to adjust it down to 0.0 degrees and, or 0.0%, it would only go to 0.4 for both no lower, and it took about 30 turns or so. I tried to bring it back up and start over again but it doesn't seem to be going back up barely at all. Any suggestions?

OK, figured it out! Since my bike has been running rich (getting a Jardine exhaust w/o servo emmulator)for a couple of weeks, the valve wasn't closing all the way (while snapping the throttle when doing the TSP reset) because it's gunked up a bit. So as I'm spinning the TSP adjustment screw ccw I unintentionally unscrewed it from the throttle body, and since it was gunked up it kept reading 0.4-0.8 percent. If you need to know where this cable is; follow the video on changing your plugs (the part about removing your airbox and plate, it's located under the normal throttle cable connections to the throttle body. All is good now! I guess if you're thinking about doing this a good note would be to: "when asked to blip/snap the throttle, push the throttle back further than where it stops just in case yours is gunked up like mine:D Thanks again for such great videos!!

Dave, thanx so much for the vids! did an oil change over the weekend and would have done plugs if i was able to find a swivel attachment somewhere in a shop!

took my laptop in the garage, loaded vids, did the job - no problems!
