Was reading in the january 2011 issue of "motor cyclist" and they have a buell tribute article. In it they talk about using a daytona twin tec tuner. Reading on the website, it seems simple enough and is what I need. Its 200.00 bucks. Any experience?

requires twin scan 2 for another 550.00+200.00 for twin tech seems high for something that might not work to well.might be better off with the ebr 750.00 package.

I have an 09' though.from. what I read the 01_07 models need the twin scan. Or did I read wrong? I'm gonna go look again

Is it because mine has wide band? All I'm looking to do is richen it up so its not so lean. I'm not looking to tune every. Last drop of power. Just want a reliable bike

Why not just tune it yourself using free software and a $45 cable? Most people that I have spoke with about the twintec tuners hate them. They don't really tune your bike...they just add or take away fuel from the entire map.

I'm not comfortable or educated enough to tune my own. I get confusing answers from those I ask about tuning my own. I'm just looking for something as simple as this. The different dyno tuners around me tell me stuff like I can't tune it due to my stock computer being "locked" to them telling me I have to purchase all the hardware. If I owened a generic ass gsxr it would be done lol. I just want SIMPLE and cheap. But simple means different things to different people

If you owned a generic gsxr they would probably just stick a map on a power commander and be done with it. Whoever said that our ecm is locked because it is stock is flat out WRONG! I would suspect that they really don't want to tune a buell since they most likely have never attempted it. I have tuned mine since I have a hawk, KN, and open airbox with a stock ecm with no problems at all. Octo has a tuning webinar that is perfect for beginners if you are interested. I think for a 1 on 1 session he is asking $125 which is still significantly cheaper than any tuner. He also has tiered scales if your interested in doing a group tuning session.

Yeah I seen his seminar thread. Considering that. Yeah I was concerned to let someone that doesn't normally tune buells, do my buell. I guess I could ask him for a list of ALL the materials I'll need and weigh the options. I'm a plug and play kinda guy even if it cost a lil extra sometimes. And idk if a laptop is required but I'll need one of those too as my current one sucks.

You will not be happy with any in-line fuel solution. If you MUST have a plug-and-play solution, the EBR ECM should be the only thing you're considering, and you may not even be happy with the results of that.

Yeahi have an ebr ecm now and its still lean. I guess i'll just have to get ahold of octo when I got time.

lol, just realized who I was repling too lol. Hey octo, pm me a list of requirements i'll need to be able to follow along in one of your seminars. I assume i'll need a laptop too.

Here is a link to his thread. You will need a laptop in order to do some logging. It doesn't really take a strong computer to be able to datalog. I use a dell inspirion 6000 that is around 5 years old without any problems.

You don't need anything to attend the webinar. I suggest to most interested parties that they simply take good notes for the duration of the class, then apply the principles they've learned at their own pace, on their own time. I offer tech support to paying customers after the webinar is complete, so you don't have to worry about finishing the webinar, and then getting stuck.
