If it were up to me, I'd say ditch the secondary muffler entirely and just have a muffler in the underslung position.

[up][up][up] i see the EBR comparison (cycleworld) against the Panigale and the Panigale has an underslung exhaust which Erik pioneered, while the 1190 has a monster, ugly-ass can hung off of it.

UNDERSLUNG.

Did this already, EBR has it for tuning. I've been ready to build more for a couple of months now but was waiting for a tune before selling them.

Just curious does the longer exhaust retain the stock underslung or are you deleting that and moving it further back with this setup? The can further back on the rx is a wave muffler to cut out on droning and supposedly helps top-end power.

The only thing left is the headers from the stock setup. Pretty sure the quarter wave section is for low and mid-range, not top end. It's also for noise control, the rx does it exceptionally well, I think they stated that it's quieter than any other out there for the displacement. It's also frickin HEAVY at 25.75 lbs. The long one I posted weighs 12.25 lbs, the shorty is 8.5 lbs.

The answers I got back from EBR (on the tuning front) is that the traction control system is difficult to program for. I'd rather just run without electronic aids myself, if I get a little wheel spin, so be it. Get me the software and ecm to do it, I'll run with it. I have access to a dyno and a track if I really need it, both are 40 minutes away from the house.

your right it helps midrange.
25.75lbs is insane no matter how low on the bike you carry it!

Ah, very nice. That looks pretty great.

I swore the team for the ama super bike had underslung exhausts. Are those pictures of worlsuperbike?

Pegram's bike is AMA superbike, May's is WSBK. The long pipe setup is a little quieter, but not by a lot. Some tracks won't allow the loud exhaust, some do, Assen was the first track they had to make the change and the WSBK bikes have just stayed with the long pipe setup. I don't know why Pegram had it on his this round, he'd been running the standard race kit prior to last weekend from what I'd seen.

MMMMM Prettyyyyyy..... Thanks Dean! I will get it installed either tomorrow or Saturday, depending on weather.

Absolutely awesome exhaust, none of the videos do it justice. Picked the exhaust up this afternoon polished it got it installed and proceeded to terrorize the neighborhood.

Dean thanks again well worth the wait. :D[up]

Got my RT-3 installed and took it for a short ride yesterday... The sound is just a tad bit deeper than the FMF exhaust it had on it previously, but sounds much, much meaner. I haven't had much of a chance to really get on the throttle yet because my registration is lapsed, and I don't want to get pulled over, but so far, me likey! I am sure the neighbors love me now that I just sit out and listen to it idle in the driveway. I should get everything registered this next weekend and then I will take it out for a true test ride. Anyway, thanks a bunch Dean... you make an excellent pipe!

Hey Dean - just watched your video of the 1190 exhaust prototype. Is your camcorder being completely overloaded? Very burbly...if that's even a way to describe it.
