torquemonster, welcome. can you make the 20th? post up some info on yourself and your ride when you get a chance and update your profile. click on my name by my post for a decent example.
ok, so my life is hectic! I just got told the birthday will be on sat, not sunday[mad] So is everyone still good for sunday the 21st? Sorry to do this.
this post made me very sad, i was born and raised in c springs grew up with dirt bikes snomobiles. i just moved to texas and got an 09 buell xb12r and just visited co and wanted nothing but to take my bike up 470 or 24. ill be moving back soon cuz i miss that state like crazy. i say we all go for a ride!!
JesseT,
I have an 03 XB9R I just bought about 2 weeks ago. I am coming from a 92 Yamaha Seca II 600cc which was my first motorcycle that I bought in 2005. My Yamaha was a great motorcycle but there is no argument that this XB9R is 100 percent better. So much more power/torque. I have been looking at Buell Motorcycle since 07 when I went to go check out the new 1125R. I was in love ever since that day. I have been looking for a great deal on one for about a year and finally found a killer deal on this one.
I too have a birthday party on Sat. the 20th. I think I could do a ride on the 21st but let me check with the wife and see if she has made plans I don't know about yet. Lol!
Oh no, no non-Buells allowed Would the Springs work for everyone as a meeting point? I was thinking as far as a route (one of my favorites) would be to go to Woodland, past Deckers, over to 285 and head west past Bailey to the Coney Island place for lunch. One way from the Springs is about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. If that is too long there is another place in Pine called Zoka's that has great food. That would shave about 30-40 minutes off the route to the Coney Island place. KW could take 285 back in to Denver and the rest of us would head back to the springs via the twisties...
I'm certainly open for other routes so let me know!!!
meet somewhere by cimmeron and I-25? I tried to do a mountain ride today[mad] 115 was construction and 25mph all the the twisty part and as soon as I got to the base of the mountain it started to rain. but at least I got some ride time in
I am good for the 21st. Would anyone like to do an afternoon ride? We could meet in the parking lot of Rudy's Barbeque at 1:00pm. Rudy's is located on cimmeron / highway 24 headed toward woodland park.
I also could have a non-buell rider that might want to come.
The weather is calling for scattered showers on sunday but I don't mind the rain as long as everyone else is cool with it. Who knows maybe we won't get rained on but it is always a chance.
Are we offically set for sunday 1:00pm at Rudy's? If people want to get there earlier and eat lunch there thats cool then we all could just meet in the parking lot at 1:00.
