Rode on at the Tomahawk Fall rally last year in Wisconsin, harley had demo rides going on. Compared to my old XB they are twice as slow and twice as uncomfortable and Doesn't handle well. [down][down][down][down]

Check out this link. These are a good base platform. Don't yell at me, but you have to remember our Buell Xb power trains came from the sporty design. Buells were more improved. Where Harley has gone wrong for year's is their marketing. Just like when they had Buell, I believe if they were marketed correctly Buell would still be made today. They are making the same bad decisions with the xr1200. With the exception of the racing circuit then again many people don't even know about it. Harley has really went the wrong direction they support the whole wannabe a badass biker thing( which I don't even get). I believe they have really lost track of their heritage which was as a racer. Just my two cents!

Am I the only one that looked past the bike and noticed the road in the background?

As far as the bike... Meh... I don't hate it but wouldn't trade my x1 for 2 of them.

Ha... Obviously I skimmed this post buddha!

That cafe'd xr looks pretty mean but the shock confused me and.. where is the oil tank?

xtreme is right, they make a good platform to build upon. In stock form they don't have great suspension. When you put Ohlins on it and add a good pipe, yea you end up spending too much but you get a very good unique bike (if you are into that sort of thing).

The Harley dudes didn't like it, the Harley dealerships didn't push it, and Harley Corporate didn't promote it much. They treated it like the red-headed step child in their line-up (like it was the new Buell). It didn't sell too well. It's being discontinued after 2012.

It's basically a Harley for non-Harley riders. It has decent performance and decent brakes (something that Harley riders don't care about). I like it. It's not for everyone that's for sure.

Leave it to Harley to kill off anything that might remotely have a shot at bringing in "non-Harley" riders.

Oh well.
