Brought home an '09 12XT. 5000 miles on her, fresh everything. Deal was good enough to get a new set of Bridgestone Battlax 203's. First short ride all I can say is WOW. This is what a motorcycle is supposed to be all about. Never felt a bike that pulls like this or handles like this and the closer I look the more there is to impress. What a great piece of engineering and what a GD shame HD saw fit to drop them. And it's all you guys and this forum's fault that made me trade off my Kawi Vulcan on this Buell beast. Thanks a million - Jesus, what a rush hauling a** on this machine:D:D:D

haha we can all relate to our first Buell Boner! :D

XTs are great compared to their size and height. i ride mine everyday - rain or shine in heavy traffic and it is great! long distance or daily commuter - perfect!

just love how it soaks the bumps! beautiful suspension!

Totally relate to what you're going through. Had mine for all of three months and 3500 miles and still get a big grin when I take it out.

Welcome, I know exactly how you feel. I still get the same feeling every time I ride. Its amazing how long its lasted. I plan to keep my Buell for ever and rebuild it, over and over.

Welcome, on my 3rd Buell and it still gets to me, even got my fiance into it so she knows the feeling too :D

Welcome, I've got 2 buells too. Bought a lightning new for my 1st, then came back from Afghanistan and bought a firebolt. Its becomes a addiction. Just wish I had more time to ride. Glad you enjoy ur buell as much as we all enjoy ours.

My absolute favorite bartyender just a couple of months ago, got a blast, guess who she bot it from,
Bubba Blackwell,. Isn't he the HD Trick Rider? Her's and mine are the only Buells there, I personally love the exclusivity of my bike, you can recognize the sport, but you don't suspect what lies beneath.

Went for a run yesterday with a buddy who rides a GL1800 with a CSC trike kit. Big, powerful.....well, almost a car, but with all that 6-cylinder oomph my Uly literally dances around and past it. Funny thing - weather has been horrid this year so far, rain, cold, and more rain. Yesterday the sun and the bikes were out - probably 10 Harleys for everything else. I was surprised how many Harley riders going the other way on a 4-lane divided hiway actually knew what I was on and after the usual double take from them I got the enthusiastic thumbs up. When I bought the bike, they just "happened" to have a comfort kit on the shelf, gave it to me dirt cheap and I can see the benefits. Definitely feels like I'm on a heated seat and the right side leg sure feels the heat. Be great on cold days I guess, but it's raining today so it's going on. Had a local guy order a Jardine can for it as well, heard one on a Uly on You-tube and that's all it took - whoa, what a sound. Sounded as good as any Harley!
Pics will be up when the rain quits and I get back from a quick vacation!

reading this just makes me pissed that my car broke down. I was within a week of buying a Buell, and then the stupid thing broke down. Now i am going to have to wait until next spring...

It will be worth it. Or someone on buellxb should hire me for their business so i can make money faster [smirk]

that would be ideal. Except i live in Minnesota...so 8 months out of the year i would be getting bent over by the weather...

Hell, Burzac I live a lot farther north than you - I'm in central Alberta - makes every minute on a bike worth even more! Winter's for putting more stuff on a bike and stinking up the garage with exhaust fumes and deciding what next you can do with it. Or ice fishing, and that's just plain nuts.....or philosophical introspective to nourish the mind. F***, did I just say that???[confused]

haha im with you there! you gotta cherish the time spent on the bike! all i am saying is that its not practical for me to sell my car for a second bike, when it is inevitable that at some point its going to have to be put away in exchange for a winter cage. But youre right, winter is about modding the bike so its a new machine the next riding season!
