That would be cool of it did. Where can I order the connector for the bike? I believe I have a obd connector for a car.

i have a couple of those elm connectors. Ill have to give it a try and see if i can get it to connect to ecm spy..

Buell uses grd power send and recieve so I don't think it will work

Care to elaborate a little. What do you mean?

Pin 1 is TX or send, pin 2 is ground, pin 3 is RX or recieve, and pin 4 is 12V. So the buell needs a serial connection. From that diagram the hook up only had one data wire

Ah I didnt realize the buell connector had separate send and receive pins.

i see your point. the vrod can not be tuned like our buells. i was just wandering if it could be used, let say if i wanted to use a phone for guages. and if there was a way use it with ecmspy and figuring out what the final pin out of the scanner and obd2 connection would be. to transmit and receive. it could work in theory. to dismiss it completely would be unjust. and since i am laid off till june, thank you usace, i thought i could do some tinkering in my spare time. and it was a chance to get ideas flowing from other who could make it work. or to see if it would be worth the effort to port this concept to the buell world. i am going to make one for my vrod just for ***** and giggles. just my $0.02. sorry if it came off as the next big thing.
