I have searched the forum and found photos of finished ones but no step by step. Has anyone out there documented this process?

I did mine, just looked at the casting underneath to determine where I wanted to cut and grind away...

Its kinda dirty but this is what I did. I took the tail section off and cut off the center section and had the original plate holder and tag light welded back on. You have to take the lights out to keep them from melting form the TiG welding. You will also have to do some grinding to smooth everything out and round off the edges. Leave room for the tag light to fit. There are some flat spots where you can remount the turn signals by drilling new holes for them. If you want post a big pic of your tail section and I can photo shop lines where to cut and weld. I don't have a pic of a stock one.
