Oh, I've done it many times on sport bike wheels. Just did a couple on my cafe projects and laced up two wheels along with them. I was just curious to see if there was a better technique. The title of the post is incorrect and misleading. Really should be changed...

Dang...I've read my arse off, What do you use to fit in either axle? I bought a manual, No tools listed for axle removal, they look like I could use an old spark plug tool ...In the pics above, I see a bolt-looking thing, What am I missing?!?
I spent 2 day trying to install the front PIRELLI DIABLO 120/70ZR17 with no luck, I can not push the rim even through the first tire lip. I used zip ties, soapy water, levers and rim protectors, even clamps. It is impossible. This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYa9EEG3rOM shows how it is easy, but it is not. I see the guy in the video uses another tire, not Pirelli Diablo, maybe there is tire issue? How do you mount your front tires?
