I would love to go but as most of you know my brother blew up my XB12S the first week of June and it is still at Skips in Winchester aka Skips family owns Groves HD in Winchester. I'm sill waiting on them to rebuild my motor. They have only two mechanics turning wrenches. The only other bike I have is a Honda XR560L that needs a stator and it has a electrical demon. I had it running for two days a few weeks ago when I replaced the pulse generator and then it would not start. Its hasn't been a fun summer.

They never told me when my bike will be done. I would call them every few weeks and the service manager would say they are going to start it the next week. I also had other friends of mine who dropped their bikes off for service say something to them and they got the same answer. They have had the bike for four months. Heck I have even considered buying a bike that was turn key ready. Oh well I guess I need to get my XR650L running. I have turned down some good deals on XR1200, FLH and a Low Rider. Good things come to those who wite.

Here's hoping the weather holds out. I'm thinking of camping but I don't know if I want to lug around my gear all day. May get a room but they aren't cheap that close to D.C. If anyone else is traveling a fair amount and wants to split a room let me know.

Welp I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow because I have had some back pain for the past week. I am hoping there is no major problems. Because that could change my plans of riding. As of right now I am riding though.
I am going to go ahead and pick Sunday as the day we meet. It will be the warmer of the 2 days this weekend.

Plan on heading up Sat afternoon. Staying at the Super 8 in Front Royal. Will probably meet ya'll at Sheetz in Haymarket as I will probably be up early exploring.
If I come up through Skyline Drive on Saturday, is my vehicle pass still good for Sunday, or will I have to pay another 10 bucks? I want to framiliarize myself with the area, but I'm not going to pay twice, I'll take another route on Saturday. Lord knows there are a ton of good roads just begging to be carved by a Buell.

Oil changed, sticky tires on, and luggage installed. Tomorrow is my last day of work and Friday knock out the lawn and honey do's, then pack up for a Saturday morning departure. Really looking forward to getting on the bike and regaining my sanity.

Left this morning around 10am and checked in at 5pm. Beautiful day for a ride up Skyline drive. Traffic was a little heavy once I got to the northern end.[up]
Learned 2 lessons on my trip: 1) Keeping the revs below 3k will net me 55mpg[up]
2) Always teather your gopro[down]
May have to look for it on the way home. I do know what 30 mile stretch it is in, but for now it's MIA.
