Do they work?

I haven't had any issues with 1oz in the front and 2oz in the rear she rides smooth. Not sure about adding more/less though since i don't have any problems.

I know this is an old thread but I was looking into Dyna Beads and was wondering if more of you have had good or bad experiences with them? I like the fact that I can NOT have lead weights![up]

That was one of my concerns...Seems like most testimonials I've been able to find were from HD guys or touring bikes at best. I guess MCN (I think that's what it was?) had an article about them in their Oct 2006 issue but I haven't been able to find it. Sounds like they weren't too impressed by them though...[confused]

There is a huge thread on ADVrider, and some on badweb, where Blake poo-poos them because he personally can't wrap his head around how they work, so he slams them (WTF... oh well). I asked him to be open minded, and to have someone try them and report back, but he seems very close-minded. Indeed weird for a moderator on a forum.
All I have been able to find are posts from some guys saying they are great and work as advertised, and others not understanding how they work, so they reject the idea without even trying.
Bottom line: wheel weights are easy, cheap, work fine, always have and I guess they always will, and that's surely why big tire outfits and car mfgr's don't switch to them; but I like to open my mind to other, new possibilities, so I try to listen to any who have experience with them.

I have them in my tires but have not been out on them this year yet... I had bad wobble before so this will tell me if they work or not.

I ran the Dyna Beads on my HD Streetrod last year and it has Buell wheels on it. Absolutely no problems with the beads. In fact, I liked them so much that I just pulled the wheel weights off my 09 Scg and installed the Dyna Beads.

I'm running them in my 9r front and back. I'll never go back to stick on weights. They are smooth as glass under all conditions... bumps, pot holes, hard acceleration, hard braking.. absolutely no hickups.

they've been using this in heavy duty trucking for a long time in one form or another. They use to use a powder called equal (i think that's its name) that was just dumped into the tires and did the same as dynabeads. they don't use it anymore though 'cause if/when it got wet it turned into dough and didn't work so good..

(i work in a freightliner dealership. that's how i know about the balancing powder stuff :) )

I'm a little slow pics and explanation of these things. How would you get them in the tire? What's the point and wouldn't that throw your wheel out of balance? Anyone thought about nitrogen in the tires heard it last longer than regular air because the molecules are larger so its harder to leak out.

Thanks everyone for your input. Here's a video I found of a guy mounting a tire on a Buell rim using Dyna Beads. Thought it might be helpful?
