Do you own a bike other than the lightning?

I know times are tough out there but does anyone else own a bike other than the lightning? I bought a used 03' Suzuki VStrom 1000 with hard cases for touring as I found the XB12 hard on my 42yr old body after a long day on the road. My friend and I toured Oregon, (beautiful countryside), last June but I will not give up my Buell because it is too much fun. If I'm not doing more than a day trip, the Vstrom is parked. I live in Calgary, Canada and it is Harley country around here but my used Vstrom and XB12 barely add up to the cost of a HD fully equiped for touring.

I own an '09 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Standard. It's my "Driving Miss Daisy" bike. Perfect for long trips and driving the wife around. I'm 52 years old and yes, my body aches after a day of riding my Lightning, but it is well worth the discomfort.

i had 2 other sport bikes when i got my buell.but i sold them to get something newer and better.i just cant imagine anything that is an all around better bike or that i would ride more.i will most likely get another hyper bike this spring just for the top end rush.

I've got a gs500, but it's gonna get sold in spring.

Eventually though I'll own a supermoto, probably an old slingshot gsxr for a streetfighter project, and a newer gsxr750 or other 1000cc bike just so I can go stupid fast. I'll probably also trade in my xb9 for an xb12, or possibly even an S1.

If you are sore from a lightning you need to learn how to ride your bike. It sounds like your leaning on your arms or i don't know why you would be sore from a lightning, now if you were heavy and were riding a firebolt, then i could see you getting sore. I can ride a firebolt all day long with a bad back, so you have to be sitting wrong. I'm not trying to make a big deal i'm just trying to suggest you might need to take a class on riding posture. You need to arch your back, anyway just though id throw that out there. I hope your able to get to the point that you can ride your Buell all day too.
