Hey guys !1

Do your bikes stink gas when you get home after a ride ? When I get home, after a ride, I put my bike in the garage, witch is connected to the house, and it smells gas in the house. If I go into the garage, it really stinks, like BIG time ! No spills, nothing special when I look at the bike. I assume it's just vapors, but when my GF starts to complain, I have to think of something .... Please help ... :D

I smell like gas, the garage smells like gas, and the lower level of my house smells like gas after a ride..

yeah mine drips gas a little from the vent sometimes, mainly when full and hot. Maybe it's because my gas cap is on backwards....[confused]

Like unburnt I just filled my gas tank smell? Or more like fumes from snowmobiles, bikes, 2 strokes, etc? I have never really noticed any gas smell with my bike. How is your tune?

If you have refueled just before you get home, you will have a full tank of cold gas being heated by the hot motor below. The gas will then expand and exit through the overflow tube. That's normal. Gas odors coming from any other source may indicate a problem.

Lol we dont have cats on our bikes and most run an open exhaust, how do you not smell gas?

The garage smells like gas a bit but that's what I expected. It smells way better than my father's 1125 CR did. That thing would stink out the entire first floor with that gas smell.

Me and my bike always smell like shes running a little too rich after riding. I guess I consider it normal.

I never get any fuel smell, even after filling up at the gas station 2-miles down the road.[confused]

Almost 40,000 miles (2005 xb12scg) and I have never experienced any gas smells like most have described. The bike has a dealer installed race kit (Muffler, ecm and K&N air filter.)

But talking about fuel odors not exhaust odors ...

That happens sometime or just because I filled it up standing strait and putting it on the stand afterwards. That I would understand, if it was dripping, but nothing. It smells all the time when it`s hot even when I did not fill ...

do you have a K&N air filter? If so how long has been since you serviced it? Pull it off and take a whiff of it and see if the odor is prominent. ( I know that sounds perverted)

Yes I do. It been cleaned and re-oiled this winter ... I has like 300 miles on it since clean up. But the bike was smelling last summer too, but I think a bit less
