Well where to start. My clutch cable is leaking from the trany casing. So I bought a new o-ring.
I remove the cable notice that someone use pliers to hold the cable to remove/install it.. it is not leaking from there though. When I removed the clutch cover plate it was so fkg soapy white... now this is my first issue.. I will order a new cable and change that oring and put new oil.

Any idea why my tranny oil is soapy?
Does a cable from a lightning fit on a Firebolt 12r 2005?

The clutch cable is shorter on a firebolt to accommodate the clip on style bars.

The soapy you are referring to I can only assume is condensation that accumulates in the crankcase it happens on these bikes. Its good to let them run long enough to boil any condensation out. So no short run times

Here is information on the cable

The lightning cable is just longer. You might be getting water in your oil thru the cable adjuster. A zip tie on the top half of the boot fixes it.

I probably have a fire bolt clutch cable, 4500 miles. It's from a wrecked bike back in February, need to look if it's broken or not. just found it laying in a corner.

Umdterp13 good let me know how it is looking like. I Called HD in my town see what they can do and unfortunately they don't have it in Stock so and other 3-4weeks of wait and 100$ give away.loll. For now I gonna put shrink tube on it for now.

Alex, you might get away with a Lightning cable on a Firebolt, But I know from a mistake and experience, it does NOT work the other way. (At least in no way that is 'presentable'). These are $57 cables....do not let anyone charge you $100. Do some research.....ASB, Buellster....SOMEONE has them out there .Get that one from UMD...you can't beat that?

Check Americansportbike.com I get parts in about 3 days. Most parts harly packaged.
