Does this look ok (1125r)

I am in the process of doing a Stator/Rotor Swap and took the ignition case off. I noticed that above the rotor it looks like I have a chipped piece above the rotor. the piece that holds the top gear on?

I wonder is this a problem?

Depends on if it is press fit. Or if it is held with circlip. Or flush against the end of the shaft. Some chipped gears will retain there place, like on a transmission, but some that slide will only get worse.

Its just like a piece missing out of that circle disc, freaks me out. im just not sure if it will be ok lol

If it is a piece that big then you wouldve found the chip somewhere when you took the case off. Did you?

ok thank you. that makes me feel a whole lot better. yeah nothing fell out when I took the case off and after seeing this picture I see why, Thanks all
