Picked up a companion for Dorothy last night, 09 R6, flush mounts undertail and a slip on 6328 on the ODO for $6500. Dorothy is still for sale but the wife has been hinting that I should just keep both. . . we'll see. I have only rode it home on the highway at night in the cold. I didn't really whack into it or throw it into any corners, but first impression. . . The Buell is more fun! the R6 I can tell is way faster, but it's going to take more concentration, and work to ride. I'm very on the fence and don;t actually think I'll end up able tp decide which one I like more. The R6 only rode for 40 miles and knew instantly this is not a bike to go cruising around on lol. It'll be straight to the twists ride it hard and ride it straight home asap. where as the buell i can journey around comfortably find twists and kill 'em then journey around some more. But either way here's to new adventures.

Looks good I am currently looking for a companion for Elanor as well!! I am looking at a Busa I think, was gonna sell the Buell but the wife decided to let me keep both! Good looking bike what ya gonna name her?

Not sure on a name yet, I gotta get in a good ride and learn her personality first. I rode a 2010 ZX10R last week that crushed an 09 Busa (not with me piloting either, two friends settling an arguement both experienced riders). Wasn't even fair lol. The new ZX14's are a few steps ahead of the Busa's now too.

Sorry man I never got a replacement screen. Looks like Dorothy is going to a new daddy soon as well. Then it will be time to start piecing together my new Buell.

Once you get used to the rev range on the R6 I think you'll have a lot of fun, especially if you have some twisty roads to play on. Very different bike than a 12 to be sure. I had fun on the ones I brought home from my dealership but settled for a bit more power.

Yea, one day I'll have the skill level to handle a 750 or 1000. But I want to learn to man handle a 600cc and be truly fast, rather than rely on the power of the 1000's to make me seem fast. Lol yea i noticed i was hardly even past 12000 when i thought i was spanking it and seeing how fast she was on a straight.

Yep, if I ever get a track bike it will be a 600 for sure. Wish I lived closer to a track like I did before :(

163 on the speedo before I backed off, maybe on a less windy day and a smoother road 165-166 so 155-158ish actual speed? It gets there in a hurry, I miss the low end torque, but I learned how to keep it in the power band it's a pretty insane ride. With the R6 corners feel like I;m glued, on the Buell I take the corners just as fast but I feel like I'm painting them and kicking the ass out (more fun IMO). Took a 180 mile ride on the R6 yesterday and surprizingly it wasn't too uncomfortable, about equal in comfort to the Buell. The buell can get uncomfortable in the wrists and the R6 can get annoying in the ankles, thats about it. Still love the buell, but having a blast on the R6.

I let my buddy ride Dorothy today for a 200 miler. I was on the R6. He owns a 2006 R6 and it was his first time on a Buell. A lot of myths he had heard were dispelled as a result. 1 being that they are slow. His final thoughts when I asked him what he thought was "That bike is incredibly fun, it's not slow at all, I love the torque and how it power wheelies when you shift, and there is something else about it that I can't put my finger on, but it makes me really like that bike!" he did comment on how far forward you feel but it wasn't a negative thing, and he thought it was heavy when he first mounted but as soon as we hit the road he noticed how easily flickable it really was. We swapped twice during the ride and I also noticed the buell seemed to flick through chicanes a bit faster and smoother than the R6.

Any wife that says keep both toys is a wife that is to be listened to..
