Is it about time to replace it? The crack pictured has me worried.

I'd be shopping for a new belt if it were my bike. I got a new one from ASB for much less than my local dealers quoted.

WOW! my understanding was these were good for the life of the bike and no dressing was recommended. Do I need to research more?

In my experience, these belts have an average life expectancy on-par with a chain, perhaps longer or shorter in some extreme cases. They are susceptible to damage from wheelies, sunlight, chemical spills, & mechanical damage.

Thanks guys, I got one ordered from ASB for my local mechanic to put on soon.

I'd do it myself, but I don't have torque wrenches to ensure everything is tightened properly yet.
