Driving Belt

Has anyone ever had the experience of there driving belt breaking off without any signs on wear and tear. Mine just recently did while on a joy ride. No bumps, no aggressiveness wondered if things like this was normal. First time since I've owned the 03 buell xb9r. Websites to order a new one from?

2003 model year ONLY belt numbers are: G0500.02A8F superseded by G0500.02A8R

and NO to your question. my experience isthat there's always a tell-tale sign of imminent belt failure, however subtle.

I had mine snap off while racing a bi-turbo Mercedes to the next light. First gear, 7k, shift, nothing lol.....it was right at the 15k life for the 2003 models.
