I've been seeing lots of pictures of bikes with the 1" drop pegs and was just wondering how people liked them compared to the stock. I'm in the process of changing the comfort level on my Firebolt and looking for anything I can to make it more ride-able for longer distances. Already have the superbike handlebar kit and comfort seat.

I put the lightning pegs on my bolt and i am happy with them. I have scraped a couple of times when riding the hell out of it, but you have to be going pretty hard to do that. The comfort level is certainly improved, but I still get a tad cramped after a couple of hours.

I went the other direction on my Lightning and am considering going back for comfort. There's a China made adjustable set on eBay for not too much. You may want to consider that?

I'm 6'2" so the drop pegs were a no-brainer.
Theres lots of cool chinese adjustable ones, but I'm scared of the non-foldable ones. Especially if there lower-er:)
Im not Mr. Kneedragger but busting off a peg will ruin a ride.

thanks for the info, I'm not to worried about the lowered clearance since I'm not really a kneedragger either. I wish I could do that but the roads in western mass are not very good for that since potholes are around every turn and there isn't enough twisties close to me where I can freely express the bikes lean angles.

I was more a less thinking about the stock 1" drop or like a ulysses set.

I have a stock sitting XB9R and I got to sit on another one that had the 1" drop pegs on it. I am 5'-7" and I could tell the difference in them. It felt better on my knees. That being said, I still have not gotten a set for my bike but I will pretty soon I think.

I'm 6' and 225lbs, when I got my CR it had a stock seat and pegs. I put 2" drops on and liked it. Then went to a Saddleman seat and the 2" pegs were still comfortable. Didn't like the Saddleman and went to a Corbin seat, the 2" drops were no longer comfortable so I went up to 1" drops. After all the reconfiguring I've got about 1000 miles on the current Corbin /1" drop setup and I'm happy with it.
