Hey guys,
I bought the Buell in the picture from another member on the site, although I can't recall his username. I found the bike through Craigslist from a few states away. It's an '08 12R that had 3,366 miles on it when I bought it. It had some fouled plugs and bad spark plug wires, so I got those replaced, and have been enjoying it since then. I've been dreaming of buying a Firebolt for YEARS, so I'm pretty happy with the purchase. I'll save the story of the purchase for a different post. Since I got the bike running, I have installed the Hawk performance exhaust (WOW!!!!) in my living room, and have taken to parking it where my dining room should be. Pictures below.
Recently, I used a disc lock when I left it outside, and went to sleep. I woke up early the next morning, and in my rush, forgot to remove the lock. When the lock hit the caliper, the bike fell. My pride was damaged the most, but the bike did suffer a bent right handlebar. The bar is now bent at an awkward angle that is irritatingly noticeable while riding, and at an angle which prevents full right steering lock.
My question is simple - Where do I get new bars?
I have done searches on this site, checked ASB and BuellParts, but I can't seem to find JUST the tube to put the controls on. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Proud New (to me) Buell Owner,
