Drummer exhaust and a question...?

No one is questioning the workmanship. It's obviously an EARLY version of what's been developed and perfected to become the pipe you so loyally love.
Obviously it was not initially designed to be a life time indistructable pipe. The "life time" pipe/packing/core came years after the company was up and running. Otherwise it wouldn't be a 30 plus dolar upgrade to a pipe build.
All fiberglass type packings fail over time.
The drummer product is still, and will always be, one of the greats in Buell exhaust world.
Every company goes through some growing pains as their product developes.
I missed the initial point of this thread too when I first read it.
It's about the way the exhaust flows through the pipe not who designed the exhaust flow of the pipe.

You are right chickn, apologies to one and all! i am just a loyal mate to have and sometimes i jump into defence mode without thinking it through as much as maybe i should!

If you have any interest in a stainless steel end cap off of a newer Drummer let me know. All you will have to do is drill 6 holes in the stock can, and you will have a removable endcap

What's the end cap look like? If that's a Drummer I don't think you are the first one to open it up
