1) Putting $300 knobbies on a $20K super bike does NOT make it and adventure tourer.
2) His ass must be made of stone if he calls that bike comfortable.
3) I love the fact that the Duc people hate it.
4) I really, really want to hate it...... but I can't. I'd rock that everywhere!

Awesome! Totally fits the adventure tradition of taking street machinery into inappropriate off-road places!

Sorry, I thought this was a joke, my bad... well any Off road rider will know this is a joke. Needs different seat and handle bars to even think of handeling any rocks or tricky sections. But anyone who would spend his hard earned money for a "Dirt Superbike"' Probably isn't really going off road. Just my 2 cents worth. LoOkS... A....NeEt though.

Yup, it says in the article that the owner never went off-road, just unpaved roads, forestry trails, and moderate single track.
This actually isn't a new idea; I've seen knobbies on an R1, 919, GSXR, and even a Victory!

Anyone that's ever been on a pani knows it is not anywhere near an offroad bike. The shock adjustment for the rear is placed completely wrong and the bike would never even get to the powerband really in an offroad setting. Do a test ride and you'll figure that out pretty fast. I would be bottoming that out about every 10 seconds if I took it off road out here. On a side note, Our Buells do it much better. I'm sure the Uly is amazing offroad, but the rest do pretty damn well. I haven't had the chance to mess around in the dirt on the Uly yet.

Anyone who complains about this video or setup isnt a true enthusiast. We are out there everyday doing what most people consider stupid and dangerous. We encourage ourselves to see how far we can take our fun machines to their respected limits. I thought the video was cool (not as cool as the speed triple dirtbike) and I liked that he wasnt destroying the bike and admits that it isnt intended to be a enduro.

I think it looks bad ass.

(Also Buell 1125 > Ducati 1199 in terms of all around, in my book. Road both, own one.)

Well... guess the "grumble" discovered the Off Road experience. That wasn't even bad for a dirt bike pretty easy stuff. Can't even imagine trying that on a sportbike!

all its missing is side mounted miniguns and a rocket launcher and it would be Gi Joe's atv sport attack bike :)
