Dumb Jardine RT-1 Question

I have an RT-1 on my 12R. Just behind the exhaust tip there is a small hole, maybe a quarter inch round. It came this way new. Is it something from the manufacturing process or something else. I guess i have too much time on my hands!

I believe your talking about the the hole for the quiet insert. Jardine sells a piece that lowers decibels that slips into the end of the exhaust and a screw goes from the outside of that hole into the quiet piece. There are no stupid questions.

Yeah I bought one, I leave it in my tail section. It's kinda nice on a longer ride or trip. Otherwise I never use it!
