Dumb Question. . .?

I was actually wondering that myself just the other day.... I have Erik on my facebook page now... maybe I'll pop him a note.. :)

Xtremely Badass... but
I think it's for (X)cross (B)raced frame.
Also Erik, from what I know is a big Aircraft nut. X planes have always been experimental and usually quite a leap from the ordinary. B is the designator for bombers and although many non Buellers think of them as bombs it's also Buell. Just guessing.

wow, I am so glad i'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue! Yes i recently added Erik when i joined the buellxb facebook group. It's crazy such an icon is so down to earth.

Dave or magic sounds right and i never would guess the air craft thing but your right on with the X&B designations

directly from the master...

Really simple. It was a tweak to the XL/XR series, with the B for Buell. That's all.

Well then here is my dumb question then. Does anyone think its worth dropping the few hundro to upgrade to the 4 piston front brakes on my '08 XB12R?

Iv heard they brake much stronger than the 3 piston, but almost too much for street use. Also im looking for recommendations on new pads front and back.

Thanks Fellas!

I have 03 XB9S and the front brake is very strong on that thing. My friend who owns 08 CBR600RR says my Buell front brake is just insanely powerful... Never had a chance to ride and try ZTL2 but I thing it could be too strong for my taste. If you need that extra stopping power go for it. It's up to you.

I don't think Erik would have wasted that much thought on just the name. As it clearly shows he put alot of thought into design. The bike really markets itself.
