Yeah it's actually almost silver... seemed to happen in about 3 weeks. When I get home I can take a pic and post it.

Basically the anodizing sucks but i ended up liking the way it sucks.

Yep, I've got them as well. I'd say for the (very little) money, they're worth it. As neilrl79 said, they fit perfect right out of the box. The switchover takes 10 minutes total. But the anodization on mine too (as well as others I've seen in the forum) all fade. I bought mine last June/July and oddly, the levers themselves still look brand new, no fading. Only the block that actually mounts to the handlebars is faded but it's faded to a gold color, same as neilrl79. Here's a pic I just now took so you can see the fading. I may take them apart and just paint the faded block.

yeah the bar-end weights fade too.. I had black ones and in 3 weeks they faded out to chrome. Looked good for a while but I got sick of them. I sprayed black engine paint on them and baked them at 350F for about a hour.. stayed black permanently after that..

dannenvance, the funny thing is the blocks on mine look brand new and the levers themselves faded.

That's funny. Apparently we each got a mixed-match set. I agree, I'm going to do the paint-n-bake thing too. Probably this weekend.

it may stink the house up a bit for the first few min but its all good.. bake-on engine paint is what we use on AK-47s and 74s.. works like a charm. Real tough, lasts almost forever, just make sure you hit it with alcohol first to get the oil off of it.

I got the end weights off of ebay.. same seller that sells these levers if memory serves.. they were about 15 a pair I think.. took out a bit of vibe too..not a huge difference but some.

It's a bad pic and it's a little dusty but this is how mine look... my cell phone camera makes everything more yellow than it actually is but these started life back.

look at the screw above the knurling on the handle it has a pivot point there.
being a dirt bike rider I have busted many a lever and also carried spares on me because you know you could drop your bike at anytime.
if you dump your bike supposedly the lever will fold over and not break the lever. just straighten it back and you should have a workable lever to get you home somewhat safely. or maybe save that day of riding because it fell off the kick stand.;)

o didnt see the pivot. what kinda bike you ride? i got a 1993 rm250 bore .40, mx port, 9 oz fly wheel weight, boyssen rad valve, fmf seris pipe, procircuit revalved and resprung my suspension, ims break away levers. i love it being a 2 stroke with my mod is pretty scary fast and handels like a boss on the track
