I was wondering if anyone has used one of these? I'm pretty skeptical about the price but I almost wonder if it would be worth giving it a shot for 50 bucks. They look like a Hyperpro Steering Damper knockoff and I suspect they are at least moderately univeral considering the fact that is so cheap, chinese and doesn't come with a supplied fork or body mount

Let me know what you guys think!

You really do get what you pay for. What if you are making a turn one day and that thing locks up on you?!

I say give it a shot... saw a post a while back were an ausi bueller used one for his own style damper mod and said it work as it should. I'll see if I can find it in the sea of forums.

My biggest concern is about it giving out in in turn and upsetting the balance. Not really worried about it seizing up considering its basically a piston sitting in a bunch of oil, much more likely for it to blow out its seals first

China=complete shit.

I wouldn't trust it. Damn right you get what you pay for. Crap.

Chinese doesn't =shit...
Chinese = "risk"

you never can tell what youre going to get with them.. they make everything ranging from motorcycle products aimed at the low-end of the Indian market all the way up the wheels on our XBs.. seems like the really good stuff is made under special contracts for American and Japanese companies. Then that same factory will turn right around and make a much MUCH cheaper version of that same product that looks just like the original in the photos but when you get it into your hands, you can tell its just a piece of shit. But who knows? You could get lucky.
I bought a pair of bar ends from them, the first pair where fucking awesome for the money, the second pair were the same price but POS plastic units that I wouldn't even put on a scooter.. see if anyone is leaving reviews on that damper.

Used one on the track for 2 years on my 1125, now it's a little jerky so time to replace.

It would have been time to rebuild anyways.

I remember a couple of threads on another Buell forum(not badweatherbikers) about someone testing these dampers and couldn't get one to fail.
