EBC HH Brakes, will they ever run smooth like the originals?

I had some EBC HH brakes installed on the bike. I knew from reading other post that they ride a little tougher than the original brakes. Meaning I can feel the brakes when I apply them as I come to a stop. I don't have a place to do the brake job myself, and took it to HD. After a little riding I took it back just to make sure. The HD place I go to, the people are actually nice...but still suspect. Said that there was no pulsing from the rotor or abnormal installation issues, its just the brakes are harder on the rotor. I even hear a high pitch tone in my helmet as I come to a stop. I've had them for just over 2.5 weeks...and I've only ridden on the weekends...but those rides have been 150-275 miles. I'm still a newbie, and haven't had much experience with different brands and how they perform. Stock HD pads to EBC HH.

Just curious if they will wear in over time?

Cheers!

Given that youve apparently put over 300-500 miles on the pads they should be worn in already. If anything go for a ride dedicated to stopping, slow and long, hard and fast just to make sure they are broke in all the way.

Im sure the feeling will stay the same though. Is it just the tough feeling you dont like or is it pulsing? You can get use to the tough feeling, but pulsing is dangerous.

Brake bed in is important. Google motorcycle brake bed in procedure. It should help you.

I don't get any feedback/vibration or pulsing in the handlebars....but I do hear a "clicking" sound as I come to a stop. Like its actually tapping the holes in the rotor as I am coming to a stop. When I come to a stop, it is rather smooth, but I hear the "clicking" noise as I make that stop.

Not sure if I've ridden them hard, but just a lot of breaking on long easy/medium rides.

Cheers for the info!

My Uly has done this since I owned it and over the last 9K miles. When braking hard on the front it makes a ratchet like clicking sound that changes with the speed and the amount of pressure when applying the front brake. I heard it when I first rode it and the previous owner said it has always done it since it was brand new. The PO also told me that he replaced the front pads with I think he said EBH pads and it made no difference with the sound. I actually pulled the front wheel off just in case it was a front wheel bearing. Now that I know it is not a FWB the sound does not bother me.
