He was a private collector who had a love for everything Buell. He acquired this 1190 from Erik himself. Sadly this was his last acquisition and a source of great joy for him.
Thats sad man that he passed.....let us know how you make out w splitlath. Be killer to know Mark was on that bike and put it on the box.......

That's the first time I've seen the same front brake caliper as mine. Now if I could just get the same carbon fiber brake scoop...
I will be verifying the mileage this weekend when I also get more pictures. It had 10 laps at Daytona to dial in the suspension, so probably 30 miles or less!

In doing some research here. I think that might be an 1190RR. The missing side vents and rear wheel are in the 1190RR pictures.

Hmmm that is interesting. The Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin says 1190RS. I will have a bunch more pictures when the weather clears up and we can get it outside. Sitting in a living room now!
Pretty sure the one you have is an RS, not the RR. Fairly certain all the RR models were bare aluminum frames and there was only 3 produced. One is in Europe somewhere, one at Barber possibly, the third one I'm not sure of though. I'll ask to verify this info.
