Has anyone experienced a zero effect from Ebr ecm for 09 1125cr with stock everything??? installed perfect, did the tps reset etc etc.. still drives like #¤%&%¤#%¤... not worse, nor better- exactly the same... any ideas??
I hoped it could fix the stuttering and surging below 4k revs...

d adams- could I have one of yours??...:) I love the bike- but the drivability is killing me..:(

I hope this is just a simple over-looked error, because i really want an EBR ECM!

its a new fuel map, not magic. for me low end response was much improved after I installed irridum spark plugs. I went from a 2500rpm+ bike to pulling well from idle. Your map is only one piece of the puzzle, give the bike a whole tune up, especially good spark plugs and it will run better

dmp0001: doesnt the EBR ECM consist of a new fuel map??? I just just hoped the ebr ecm could do the job since i dont crave more horses or sound- just a proper running bike... - is that really to much to ask from a brand new bike??-

No, I agree. It should run good from the get go. I would really recomend new spark plugs ($20) you may be suprised at the low rpm difference

I will try new plugs... thanks..;)
Why is it, that some have amazing results with the EBR ECM, and some, like me, feel no difference at all??

Ebr does the fuel map as well as timing and some other stuff. Changes to the fan run times, when they come on, etc. Most of it is fuel and timing though.

Dunno why your ecm didn't change the character of the bike, both of mine did. Much smoother everywhere and a lot more power, 20+ hp in the meat of the powerband, ie 6500 rpm and up.

Beckert (I'm posting this in all the threads you've put this complaint in)

There are many causes for the problems you are vaguely describing. A faulty map/ECM is the least likely. The fact that a new one made no difference simply points out that you were on the wrong track.

Think of what the ECM does. It takes the signals from a limited number of samples on your bike and puts it into a formula to give the appropriate response. It sends you an error code if any of the sensors have readings outside an indicated parameter.

You don't mention error codes, you don't mention plug checks, you don't mention any trouble-shooting at all.

All you've done is shoot the messengers: the ECM, EBR, people trying to help.

Go get your hands dirty or get a real mechanic to look at it.

I did not intend to offend anybody, I really appreciate all the feedback from you guys.. Guess im just a little confused about my bike at the moment.

I will now focus on other areas than my ECM, like the plugs and clutch actuator!! thanks guys

Here's one of the easiest things to try (to me anyway). Disconnect both O2 sensors and see how it runs. Ride it like that for 5-10 miles, it's not going to do any damage in that short of a ride.

Have you checked for intake vacuum leaks, they can cause low speed problems, also can lean it out a lot, so be careful

no, but will try.. is this common even on new bikes??

You could also try real tuning, not just a EBR guestimated map. I'm surprised Theoctopus hasn't said that yet.

hehe, yeah, guess that would be the way- but its like a thousand bucks+ for a pcv, proper setup on a dyno here in Denmark... I was hoping for a quick cheap fix...:p

Now, im on to practicing my troubleshooting skills;)

Actually, I can get you fully set up for the cost of a cable ($30) and my Tuning Package 3, which is on sale right now. Then it's just a question of how quickly you want to get through the datalogs.

Look at my site: The Tuniversity.

Let me know if you have any questions.
