EBR ECM fan operation.

I have an 08 XB12. I have an EBR ECM in it.

Normally when I start the bike it gets to temp and the fan comes on. When I start riding it hits like 10 MPH and the fan starts till I stop. This is normal function.

What mine does different is at the start up the fan doesn't come on when it gets to temp. What causes the first fan prompt? I'm thinking this is where I need to look.

I have already done a function test with ECMdroid and and it works. It also comes on with movement like it's supposed to.

Open/closed loop? Temp sensor? I don't know where to look.

It's fine. Fan will run if you let the bike idle long enough after start up.

I know. It has always turned on after Les than 5 minutes in the past. I have let it idol for 10 minutes before riding just waiting for it. I don't want to be stranded someday soon. Could a 02 or head temp sensor be getting lazy? It is different than it has ever been.

You can use the same ECMDroid to datalog the temp sensor to see if it's reading correctly.
