EBR ECM for 03 xb9r?

Hey guys ive been looking at picking up the EBR preprogramed ECM for my 03 xb9r an was wondering what you all think of them? Ive been reading the stories on here about alot of guys haveing trouble with them on 04 and up models. Has anyone tried one on an 03? If so hows it working an what advice do you have?
I have the open airbox, K&N air filter, jardine exhaust. Thanks
