So I put the ECM from the xb12 on xb9, I noticed that the ECM on the 12 has a plug inbetween the two main plug ins and my 9 didn't, is that something on the 12's only and will this affect anything since I am now running a xb12r in my xb9r frame and wiring harness? Thank you in advance;)

No, the ECM that I put on is for the 2005 xb12r motor that I also just put in, the ECM is from or came with the xb12r motor that is now in my xb9r frame, just wondering if that middle prong in will affect anything since my it will not be connected

Great learning process, if your interested, on the xb9r wiring harness, all electrical demands for the bike are connected, the xb12r and xb9r use 98% of the same parts, the terminal between the 2 ECM plugs is not a electrical item used on my xb9r, doing this swap, it will not be an issue
