when i am running ecm spy with the bike at idle, looking at the diagnostics screen, the cps status changes from a green 0 to a red 5... it flickers back and forth. Can anyone tell me what this is saying is wrong?
Nothing is wrong, it is supposed to do that. That's the timing signal. I forget what exactly it means but IIRC it's a signal voltage (0v & 5v) and the color's are just arbitrarily assigned to make it easy to identify during timing check procedures.
