ECMspy issues

So I ECM spy used to work great with my bike and laptop. All of a sudden today, ECMspy is not connecting to the bike at all.
I have uninstalled and re installed ECMspy

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

How are you connecting (communicating) to the bike? USB, Bluetooth, RS 232 cable? Have you installed any new software since you last had the bike hooked up? Changed operating systems or upgrade?

nothing changed.
I use USB, have been using USB for the past year.

go to device manager troubleshoot the usb controller and see if the device driver has an automatic update

Check the port..... I had a couple of problems with the com port not reading right

USB ports are assigned as plug and play devices are inserted and communication protocols are set.
