Has anyone attempted with success or failure? Basically I want to rid my bike of as many wires as possible and that would be the most extreme way...

Is there a specific purpose in doing this because I don't see most of my wires anyway? I guess I don't see what the big deal is with the wires that are there. Are you switching the motor over for a chopper which has a more open frame?

I guess it depends on how talented/bored you are. I imagine the inventive type could pick up an S&S "shorty" for a tuber and find some extremely creative way to shoe-horn it in there.

In theory there is no reason it wouldn't work.

Here is the forum I found the link from.

Even if you get around the frame and route the vacum tubes and get the carb in, you may end up with more of a mess. Quite possibly the biggest thing to overcome is the way the fuel tank sits. Carburated bikes have the fuel tank above the carb and the fuel siphoned into the carburator bowl. The way the gas-tank sits on our bikes the fuel is pumped up to the injector (as with all injected bikes) The carb may need a pump or fuel tank raised.

Thanks for all the above feedback. I figured most of this already but wanted to see if anyone had actually tried it or pulled it off. I think i'm going to go another route.

Good call 1001, I didn't even think about the fuel level being below the carb. That would tend to cause a problem...

Mutant Choppers all use Buell engines and almost require the swap due to the limited space and better visual asthetics with the finished product.
