Energy one clutch kit BXB-912

I ordered ab BXB-912 clutch kit for my 08 xb12 and the cut sheet in the box states it has 8 friction plates and 7 steel plates which it has. The downloadable cut sheet for the same product # says to install all 9 friction and 8 steel plates in 03 and later xb 9s as this is an extra plate kit. Whaaaat? Has anything changed?

Is my kit complete? I don't want to do this more than once...

I know some of you guys have experience with this kit, please chime in.
