Mobil 1 full synthetic, I also use the redline for the tranny, I know it's weird but they are my favorites for each.

WOW this is an OLd thread....
RP and there pour recomendtion on oil nearly ruined second gear...After a ton of emails they never responded to .I will never spend 1 cent with them,
Been using mobile one 20-50 v-twin
Just bought amsoil to try. if theres less rattling it will be worth it.Being they sponser may on the EBR1190rs

Royal Purple Max Cycle 20W50 in both the Primary & the Engine.

Just found a local store that usually has this in stock, so this is what I'm going to use. Four quarts + filter = $70.

I currently use Royal Purple MaxCycle 20w50 in engine & RP maxcycle 10w30 in trans & my next oil change will be Royal Purple MaxCycle 20w50 in both engine & trans or maybe amsoil 20w50. I really like Royal Purple in my Buell and in ALL of my vehicles they run great & smooth with it.

for those who cant find RP or Amsoil or redline in stores, try your yamaha ,honda, kawi dealers parts counter , all of the ones I been in cary most of them or try some small local motorcycle shops too, or order online and get free shipping and very cheap prices at places like jeggs.com or summitracing.com or ebay.

I have always ran Redline in my past bikes. I have yet to hit the first oil change on the XB, I will continue to use Redline. Believe it or not the cheapest place I was able to find redline was thru Amazon.

Mobile one for now. Next oil change Amsoil. Less heat and quieter shifting I hear.

straight 50w in summer works well in lowering temps. 20 50 in winter. my buddy put 60 in his this year even cooler running!!!! amsoil or mobile vtwin

Redline every other time in the primary case.Amsoil 75/90 in the Primary every other time.Run Amsoil 20/50 in the Engine every other time.Castrol Syntech 50w with a pint of Lucas Syn.,stablizer every other time.Redline is mostly my favorite for the Tranny.:D

Mobil 1 v twin 20/50 both holes. I dont like the fact that RP is so expensive and hard find but a good product.
