mobil 1 v-twin 20w50, with r/s scoop and mobil 1, fan doesn't run much, even after running 20 miles @ 80 mph in 112 degree Kansas heat (our speed limit was raised to 75 mph on 7/1/11)
HD in tranny, works very smooth, no reason to ever change

Huge, huge improvement in transmission (2nd gear upshifts & downshifts in particular) and much smoother running since switching from Mobil 1 to Amsoil. Honestly didn't think it would make much difference, if any, but it's been a really nice and very noticeable surprise.

I was using amsoil but am now switching to Royal purple since we now stock it at work.

Well since they now sponsor the EBR race team, there's a good argument for me to swap from Mobil 1 to Amsoil.

Ran Lucas 20W50 m/c and liked it, but got pricey. Switched to Mobil 15W50 and have more heat. Now I'm going to Amsoil 20W50, both holes and soon Shock therapy in the forks. I'll update when I find out how it works

All fluid breaks down. Not to mention things like the damping rod, bushings, ect. wear and leave traces of crap in the fluid... I recommend changing all fluids in all vehicles frequently. Cheap enough if you do it your self and will more then pay for itself in the long run.

Good thread, I like how the 1st post says "no discussion" and the 3rd guy starts chatting.

I use hd20/50 syn. Screaming eagle what ever it's called in both holes.
